After over 40 years service Carl Wilson is retiring from Thales at the end of this month. He has invited his work colleagues to "enjoy a Smörgåsbord of delights" which he is providing and has decided it would great to make the event a Fundraiser as a retiring gesture in Violet’s Memory
Sarah (Violet's mum) and various friends of hers are pledging to give up chocolate and/or wine for the month of March.
If you know Sarah and her friends then you will know she's a chocaholic and fond of a glass of vino or two so please give generously to help ensure that in the future more little girls and boys get to survive to enjoy both of these things!
Will post names of all those joining the cause here once they are confirmed!
Thanks for your support xx
Melissa said "I will give up smoking (probably for the 200th time lol) hopefully it will work this time as in my mind I will be thinking of beautiful Violet who fought so bravely to get a chance at life and it will remind me that unhealthy habits are an unnecessary self sabotage when we should be grateful waking up to each brand new day."
On 8 APRIL 2017 Mel will undertake the Dorians Coastal Challenge, an obstacle run unlike any other held in Cyprus and among very few of its kind. Dorians Coastal Challenge is a 5Km long run with 20+ obstacles and challenges along the sandy CTO Beach and in shallow waters (1 meter maximum depth approximately). During the Costal Challenge you will conquer all signature obstacles along with 10 NEW obstacles that will challenge endurance, perseverance, mental toughness & team spirit.
The Ball was held at the Radisson Edwardian hotel in Manchester. The funds from this event will be deposited here and anyone who couldn't make it yet wants to donate is welcome to add to this.
On 14th October we will be laying a beautiful brave warrior princess to sleep and celebrating her short happy life. Please donate to this fund that will hopefully grow to enable lots of other babies and children's lives to be saved through funding developments in heart surgery.
Your donation will go towards the Cardiac Surgery fund at Alder Hey hospital.
